Populum is a growing hemp oil brand with a mission to ensure that it is approachable and accessible for everyone. They use lab-tested, quality ingredients for those who are health and body conscious. We helped them create a fulfilling brand that speaks to their demographic, directed the content production, design and developed their e-commerce experience, and helped with their overal brand and product strategy.

Premium, for the everyday person

After extensive discussions with the Populum team along with brand strategy sprints, we identified our key demographic and how we were going to connect with them. The brand manifested after many iterations, working around the mantra that Populum is for the people that care. Another key tenet of the product is its attention to taste. Populum infuses a fresh orange flavor which we weaved through the brand elements.

Crafting the mark

With such a strong name we knew it had to be the focus of the mark. Staying clear of oversimplification, It was important the mark felt graceful and calming while staying true to the company's ideologies.

The first impression is important

Creating a premium brand is in the details. We wanted each Populum product to feel unique while still part of the Populum family. Milkshake derived different patterns and colors for each product bottle and box. Each design - not matter their size - follows the same design and information structure.

Creating a shop that is as easy to use as the product itself

Populum's main sales funnel was and is their e-commerce site. We focused on leveraging our imagery, beautiful packaging, and incredible customer reviews. Through a variety of sprints, we extended the brand into the digital realm and created an informative and easy to navigate experience. Most importantly, we made it incredibly easy to buy both one-time and subscription plans. When a product is this good, it practically sells itself, but since the new brand and site launch, we have seen sales increase dramatically.
